about the rockstar program
a personal story. a lifelong mission.
Keitt Stathem understands suicide prevention not only through her clinical training, but through her own life.
When Keitt was young, she lost her father to suicide. That experience shaped her in lasting ways and planted a question that would later define her career:
What if more people had known what to look for… or how to talk about what was really going on?
Rather than turning away from that pain, Keitt chose to meet it head-on by dedicating her life to helping others feel seen, supported, and less alone in their hardest moments.
That commitment eventually became The RockSTAR Program: a hopeful, conversation-centered approach to suicide prevention built on compassion, honesty, and the belief that awareness can truly save lives.
Her work is guided by one simple truth:
When people feel safe enough to speak, lives can change.
Brought to Communities everywhere.
Keitt is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than a decade of experience working in hospitals, outpatient programs, schools, and community settings.
She has spent her career sitting across from individuals and families in crisis, helping them recognize warning signs, build coping skills, create safety plans, and rediscover stability in overwhelming seasons.
Alongside her clinical work, Keitt has brought The RockSTAR Program to school districts, conferences, universities, faith communities, and professional organizations across the country and internationally.
Every presentation she leads is shaped by what she has seen firsthand:
• How often people want to help but don’t know how
• How powerful early conversations can be
• How quickly shame and silence can grow
• How hope expands when people are invited in with care
RockSTAR isn’t scripted from a textbook.
It’s built from years of listening, learning, and walking with people through real life, and from a deep conviction that prevention begins long before a crisis ever arrives.
